Arrive in Norfolk, Virginia for a welcome dinner cruise with entertainment and great food aboard the Spirit of Norfolk. The next day you will visit the Norfolk Naval Station, the World’s Largest Naval Base and then head for a the beach for the annual Neptune Festival. This festival is a 30 block beach party with live music, a art show and blocks of live entertainment so wear your flip flops! Day three your tour includes the Old Coast Guard Station, the largest and last battleship the U.S.S.Wisconsin, and the Douglas MacArthur Memorial for a little bit of history mixed with fun! Then it is off to the Outer Banks of North Carolina. On arrival we’ll visit the Wright Brother’s National Memorial and explore Jockey’s Ridge State Park. Day five will start with a drive down the Cape Hatteras National Seashore, where you will board the ferry for a leisurely cruise to Ocracoke Island with lunch and an island tour. Returning by ferry you will stop at the Cape Hatteras Lighthouse, the Chicamacomico Life Saving Station, and Bodie Island Lighthouse. Then you are off to Roanoke Island to browse, explore and have free time at Fort Raleigh and the Elizabeth Gardens. And the last day is spent in Corolla for free time to spend on the beach, shopping, or touring the Whalehead Club.
