With the current state of the economy affecting the bottom line of many meeting budgets, planners are seeking destinations that are affordable and accessible without cutting back on amenities. Recognizing these concerns, VisitNorfolk is continuing its special meeting incentive package to significantly reduce costs for meeting planners, and to provide you with one more reason to bring your meeting to the Heart of the Virginia Waterfront.

SAIL INTO SAVINGS is offering meeting planners who book in 2010 with the opportunity to receive a credit of up to $10,000 toward any meeting or convention taking place in Norfolk through December 2010.

VisitNorfolk is now offering groups $1000 – $10,000 credit per meeting to their master account dependent upon the number of peak room nights the group books.

Meetings booked between Jan 1, 2010 and June 30, 2010 which actualize prior to December 31, 2010, will receive 100% of the outlined credit. Meetings booked after June 1, 2010 which actualize prior to December 31, 2010 will receive 50%.

Program criteria and restrictions are outlined below:

• Peak rooms for a minimum of two nights
• Meeting must be booked through VisitNorfolk and actualized in 2010 to receive credit
• Consecutive meetings will receive credit for both meetings
• Meetings booked prior to June 1, 2010 for actualization prior to December 31,2010 will receive 100% of the outlined incentive credit . Groups booked after June 1, 2010 actualized through Dec 31, 2010 will receive 50% of the outlined credit.
• Credit will be applied to the property master account of the booking property, not made as payment to the booking party directly
• Incentive is not applicable to meetings already contracted or existing tentatives. Incentive only applicable to new business.
• Incentive is not valid with other offers
• Booking groups must meet room night criteria as outlined above
• Booking representative must mention this promotion to qualify
