It’s just so easy to get around in Norfolk VA! If your stay brings you downtown, we encourage you to leave your car in one of the many convenient city parking facilities upon arrival. You shouldn’t need it again until it’s time to leave, for the city offers so many fun ways to enjoy its many sites and amenities. Segway rentals are a fun and unique way to tour the waterfront area.
When your feet tire, or when you want to venture a bit further, simply hop on the Tide, Norfolk’s new light rail system. The Tide’s 7.5 mile route in and out of the downtown area includes 11 stops allowing convenient access to many of the city’s offerings. The Tide’s route is complimented by the new NET Connector, an electronic trolley system which travels to the city’s Ghent Historic District. Those who prefer to travel outside of the downtown area by private car or via taxi will be happy to find that in most cases it’s only a 15-minute drive to most of Norfolk’s other exciting locales and attractions.
