Cruise Norfolk

Cruise Norfolk! From Norfolk's state-of-the art Half Moone Cruise and Celebration Center, you can set sail aboard a luxury cruise ship to fun-filled destinations such as Bermuda, the eastern Caribbean, the Bahamas and New England. With its unique design and picturesque setting, the three-year old cruise facility has established itself as a popular focal point on the Downtown Norfolk Harbor. From the front gate to the gangway, the Half Moone’s focus is to offer its guests the best experience possible.

Designed in accordance with the strictest Homeland Security standards, the Half Moone has a reputation for being one of the safest points of entry into the United States. In 2009, according to a ranking by Royal Caribbean International, Norfolk’s passenger approval ratings placed it the highest in the country, second in the world only to Venice, Italy, trailing that city’s cruise facility by just one point.

Since the facility opened its doors to passengers in April 2007, 230,000+ passengers have passed through it portals. At the present time, Carnival and Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines are proud to call Norfolk a home port.

If you are arriving in Norfolk by plane, the Half Moone Cruise and Celebration Center is only a 15 minute cab ride from Norfolk International Airport; and one half hour from Newport News/Williamsburg International Airport. For those arriving by car, parking is a breeze! A dedicated cruise parking lot is located on Downtown Norfolk’s nearby Monticello Avenue. The parking rate for all sailings is $10 per night, and shuttle buses run regularly back and forth between the lot to the cruise facility during all embarkation and debarkation dates.

Cruise passengers arriving early won’t lack for entertainment while waiting to embark on their dream vacation. The pier is adjacent to Nauticus, the spectacular maritime-themed science museum, within walking distance of Norfolk’s premier downtown hotels; MacArthur Center, a one million square-foot shopping complex; a variety of restaurants; a thriving arts community and dozens of attractions nearby.

So, Cruise Norfolk and when you set sail, throw your cares to the wind!
