More than twenty thousand children and adults are reached every year at the Garden by programs, classes and Norfolk Botanical Garden lectures. Volunteers provide more than seventeen thousand hours each year working in all aspects of the Gardens operations. Today, Norfolk Botanical Garden includes 155-acres, with over 20 theme gardens that can be viewed by tram, boat or by foot. During the height of the migration season, take a walk through the Enchanted Forest or around Mirror Lake with David Hughes, longtime Fieldtrip Leader for Cape Henry Audubon Society. Search for over 95 bird species that have been seen at the Garden as they migrate along the Atlantic Flyway each year. Beginners and experts welcomed. Dress for the weather; bring your own binoculars and field guide (a few will be available for shared use.) (.2 CEU credit hours)
