Eagle Festival 2012The Eagle Festival includes demonstrations, live animals, booths showcasing arts and crafts, local organizations and events, birding supplies and equipment, great information on eagles, birds and their habitats. Enjoy music, food, contests, activities for children and adults, door prizes and a visit from “Buddy,” a rehabilitated eagle hatched at the Garden that serves as an educational ambassador.

Zoos play a major role in wildlife conservation and education. Greg will discuss what it really takes for the Virginia Zoo to maintain such a wide variety of wildlife.

Join Ed as he shares the fascinating and critical work conducted by one of the nation’s leading hospitals for wildlife and conservation medicine.
2:30–3:30 Moderated Panel Discussion Guests will listen to a panel of experts as they answer and discuss critical issues regarding conservation, policy and the future of eagles. Panelists include eagle specialists presenting at the festival and symposium.

Norfolk Botanical Garden provides an educational experience while entertaining visitors of all ages. More than twenty thousand children and adults are reached every year at the Garden by programs, classes and Norfolk Botanical Garden lectures. Volunteers provide more than seventeen thousand hours each year working in all aspects of the Gardens operations. Today, Norfolk Botanical Garden includes 155-acres, with over 20 theme gardens that can be viewed by tram, boat or by foot.
