New York-based artist Judith Braun takes finger painting to an entirely new level in this live site-specific installation in the Waitzer Community Gallery this winter. Her innovative technique involves drawing directly on the wall with her fingers dipped in charcoal dust. This natural medium has been used by artists for centuries but Braun reinvigorates this tradition by using her own body as a drawing tool. The Chrysler’s wall installation represents Braun’s most extensive site-specific project to date and her first live, performative execution of her work.
