The Old Dominion University Conference for Girls and Young Women opens its 5th year with nearly 15 workshops and discussions, including digital identity management, money management, Zumba, and financial fitness. Nearly 500 girls throughout Hampton Roads are attending and is geared towards females 10-18 years of age. Several female leaders such as Francena McCorory, Barbara Hamm Lee, and Clenise Platt will be speaking. This year's theme, 'Enjoying Your Journey' will focus on fostering healthy personal growth despite the negativity young girls experience through their pre-teen and young adult years. 'Reflections of Nature' is a collection of thirty glass sculptures that artist Craig Mitchell Smith has created exclusively for Norfolk Botanical Garden in celebration of its 75th anniversary. These garden-inspired sculptures will embellish locations throughout the landscape. The exhibit will be open all day during garden hours and run from May 1st to August 17th.

This eclectic selection from the Chrysler Museum's Collection celebrates the act and the art of shopping from 19th century New York and Paris to modern-day Nanjing. The scope of paintings and photographs provide an insightful look at a universal human experience. Eras and cultures change, but the thrill of shopping endures.
The Mid Atlantic Art Exhibition will feature 2-D and 3-D artworks from around the country. Chrysler Museum's director William Hennessy had the daunting task of jurying this exhibition from 563 artwork submissions from 18 states! The selected artwork will be on display in three of d'ART's Galleries. There will also be an Awards Reception on April 26 from 6-8pm where $3200 will be awarded.
Relive the past with enormous gun devices, tools, and personal mementos from Norfolk's own Battleship Wisconsin.This exhibit includes a 2,400 pound military analog computer, a 12-foot long optical range finder, WWII racks (bunks), galley equipment, shell sleds, and cradles for moving the Wisconsin's 16 inch gun ammunition, a 48-star U.S. flag, and dozens of never-before-seen archival images.

Daniel Rozin's 'Sketch Mirror,' one of Chrysler's most popular exhibits of 2010-2011, has been installed at the MacArthur Center as part of the Chrysler Museum Roadshow. Rozin's interactive artwork features 'YOU' as the subject matter and sketches a computerized caricature on the TV screen. It is located outside of Nordstrom on the first floor of the mall and will be on display throughout 2013. Together, Princeton and his newfound friends struggle to find jobs, dates, and their ever-elusive purpose in life.
